Bump Springs
Bump Spring ride on the top portion of the damper shaft and provide additional spring rate when engaged. This allows for the use of a softer, more compliant main spring with the ability to add extra rate at the desired compression travel.
On our 2017 Audi RS3 test vehicle the addition of 800 pound bump springs on the front struts set to engage after 1” of compression travel eliminated “straight line braking stabilization” from engaging and kept the car firmly planted in aggressive braking zones.
